Riding the Onewheel at high speed can be extremely unnerving, as it often develops a death wobble when decelerating (you’ll note the lack of test numbers in this review—we were too scared to probe the board’s limits). But the Onewheel rewards experimentation, and we saw our skills improve markedly after practice sessions in which we rode over varied terrain, or with our nondominant foot forward, or while practicing heel-edge turns. If you go too fast, especially downhill, the board will push back against your foot as a warning. Ignoring this nudge can result in the rider being flung over the front of the board in what is referred to in the skater community as a nosedive.
